Found this on CNN.com, just uhm. Well, Joke or not... it... yeah. Was probably just best not put this one on the committe members Christmas CD. Let alone, that Puff The Magic Dragon isnt exactly a Christmas song either... so, there's that.

(CNN) -- A candidate for the Republican National Committee chairmanship said Friday the CD he sent committee members for Christmas -- which included a song titled "Barack the Magic Negro" -- was clearly intended as a joke.

The title of the song about President-elect Barack Obama was drawn from a Los Angeles Times column.
"I think most people recognize political satire when they see it," Tennessee Republican Chip Saltsman told CNN. "I think RNC members understand that."
The song, set to the tune of "Puff the Magic Dragon," was first played on conservative political commentator Rush Limbaugh's radio show in 2007. (continue to CNN.com)

As a national presidential elect campaign manager, one would guess Saltsman would know a thing or two about audience and media. It's doubtful Saltsman extended a politically incorrect gift to the entire RNC without expectation of it making headlines. So what's the agenda? And do we really care? I'll throw Saltsman and Shanklin a bone by giving them their literary based justification of good-old-political-satire, since satire, in definition, is ridiculing lack of good sense. And why not argue the sense of the LA Times for publishing an article basing the credibility of our next president on a film term coined by Spike Lee? Worthy of ridicule? Yes. But was it really about satire or an ulterior motive on the part of Saltsman for publicity? Let’s see, what's Chip Saltsman up to these days to want to cause such fervor around his name? Oh, running for chair of the RNC you don't say? Interesting... And what’s with CNN’s cooperation on the story? As if they weren’t aware… Next time you hear someone argue 'any publicity is good publicity,' hand them a copy of the Saltsman CD and say, 'Merry Christmas!'

Always an ulterior motive isn't there!? What does he have to bring to the table other than another seat?
Also, Huckabee looks like Bugs Bunny in this photo

Haha! And Chip Saltman, half Liev Schreiber and half Emeril Lagasse, no? (http://chipsaltsman.com/) And what does he have to bring to the table other than another seat? I'm thinking guest appearance on CSI or cooking show...BAM!
Ah, good choices! He does look like some mutant hybrid of them. I say mutant because he is likely hiding horns somewhere.
