aLp is Back!

Most of you (whoever actually reads my bullshit) probably haven't heard of this fantastic web comic, but its called Alien Loves Predator, and after a short hiatus, Bernie (the creator) has brought it back.  I personally, am clearly (and visibly...) excited about this!  Two of my favorite movie characters in a weekly, wickedly funny webcomic.. yeah. This is also another reminder that I need to get back to NYC sometime soon.

Also, while on the topic of legalizing Marijuana... I want to make it abundantly clear that POT IS NOT LEGAL IN MA NOW JUST BECAUSE WE PASSED PROP 2. All this means is that it has been slightly decriminalized. Here's the rules,  (taken from here )

Usually, conditional release lets a person opt for probation rather than trial. After successfully completing probation, the individual's criminal record does not reflect the charge.  Mandatory minimum sentence: When someone is convicted of an offense punishable by a mandatory minimum sentence, the judge must sentence the defendant to the mandatory minimum sentence or to a higher sentence. The judge has no power to sentence the defendant to less time than the mandatory minimum. A prisoner serving an MMS for a federal offense and for most state offenses will not be eligible for parole.
